Notts Medal Haul at Bev Price
Nottinghamshire Judo bagged a medal haul at the Bev Price Team Championships that were held in Walsall on Sunday 27 November. The five teams representing Nottinghamshire returned with one team Gold, one Silver and three Bronzes.

Nottingham Judo Launches Funding Initiative

Nottingham Judo has launched a new initiative to assist both beginners and advanced Nottinghamshire judoka by providing funding to assist them on their chosen judo pathway.

There will be two levels of funding available:

The ‘Aspire’ funding will be for low graded (Orange and below) players that wish to increase their training, attend more competitive events or help players of any grade to become a junior/senior official or judo coach.

The ‘Perform’ funding will be aimed at higher graded (Orange and above) players who already train multiple times a week and attend many competitive events but would find funding helpful to pursue their judo competitive pathway enabling them to attend even more sessions, higher level events or even a new regulation Gi.

If you would like to apply for any of the above levels of funding there is some criteria that the applicant will need to meet prior to submitting an application.

Aspire Funding Information and Criteria

  • Maximum individual award £50.00
  • Applications open from Sunday 1st March to Tuesday 31st March 2015
  • Applicants must meet Nottingham Judo members criteria as set in the Nottingham Judo constitution (view constitution) or have been training regularly at a Club or a number of Clubs that are registered in Nottinghamshire by the BJA for at least one year (needs to be verified by club official) and have Midland Area as there stated Area, Nottinghamshire as their stated County and a Nottinghamshire club as their registered club.
  • Hold a valid British Judo licence
  • Must agree to photographs and information being used in Media (inc Social Media) to promote Nottingham Judo and the Sport of Judo.

Perform Funding Information and Criteria

  • Maximum individual award £200.00
  • Applications open from Sunday 1st March to Tuesday 31st March 2015
  • Applicants must have supported three Nottinghamshire Events during the period 1st March 2014 - 28th February 2015 one of which must be a competition (Nottingham Closed excluded).
  • Successful applicants will be required to attend the Nottingham Open in the funding period for which they will receive free entry.
  • Applicants must meet Nottingham Judo members criteria as set in the Nottingham Judo constitution (view constitution) or have been training regularly at a Club or a number of Clubs that are registered in Nottinghamshire by the BJA for at least one year (needs to be verified by club official) and have Midland Area as there stated Area, Nottinghamshire as their stated County and a Nottinghamshire club as their registered club.
  • Hold a valid British Judo licence
  • Must agree to photographs and information being used in Media (inc Social Media) to promote Nottingham Judo and the Sport of Judo.
